Newsletter - Fall 2011

Greetings and peace to you from Klamath, CA. We pray this letter finds you well and walking close to the Lord Jesus Christ. Every day new crises manifest their ugly head here at home and overseas. And daily we hear about wars and rumors of wars. Truly, we are living in the last days. Read what Jesus has to say about the signs of the end times in Matthew 24. It will help you keep the right perspective about what is happening in the world at this time.

Space won’t allow me to share all the Lord has been doing through Good News Ministries over the past three months, so I’ll just highlight a few of them.

Storehouse Update, San Jose, CA

The Good News storehouse helped with clothing and food for another outreach in San Jose, CA. Two churches teamed up to reach the community with Bibles, clothing, music, and the love of Jesus Christ. Fifteen people gave their lives to the Lord that day. Among the 15, one is a former Buddhist. Another came to the outreach very drunk; when he asked the Lord to forgive him of his sins and come into his life, he was instantly sober. Who but God?

Walking the Grand Ronde Reservation

grand-ronde1.pngIn August leadership from the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Grand Ronde, OR, asked us to come and do three services. God did amazing things. In each service, people were saved, healed, and set free. One morning we walked the reservation, praying over the land, buildings, and people. Drugs, alcohol, sex offenses, gangs... all are there. One leader told me that walk was the highlight of the conference. She said ground had been broken up and the seeds of the gospel of Jesus Christ had been planted. I know lives will be changed because of that prayer walk. An awakening happened during those three days for us all.

A Word from Vic

For the first summer in many years, we did not make it to Wyoming. God has a way of changing things and causing us to be ready for that change.

Fire on the Water fishing ministry will resume, Lord willing, next summer. God uses me right where I am to touch others, and He will use you right where you are to touch others. Always remember who you are and who you represent.

Awake unto the Lord!

Laziness casts one into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger. Proverbs 19:15

If you don’t know the Lord as your personal Savior, you are asleep and lost, but if you know the Lord then shake off dullness and live your life ready for heaven or the return of the Lord. Don’t be lazy or idle with the things of God. Share your readiness with Judy gives Pastor Juanita Williams the 100 bags of treats children in Corning, CA , made for the Yurok children. The goodies thrilled the children.

Crises Touch Us All Sooner or Later

The Lord nudged me to go and visit my uncle who had just gotten out of the hospital. I asked him if he had Jesus Christ in his heart and if heaven was his home. He said yes and he let me pray for him. Six months later, he passed away. I went to his memorial service confident that I would one day see him again in heaven!

About this time, I learned that our 18-year-old grandson had been hit in the head accidentally with a golf club. The doctor who stitched him up said if it had been three inches over, he would have died. Crises do come! If your life should come to an end today would you be ready to meet the Lord? Take time to make sure today!

Thank you for your financial support and your prayers. Both of them keep us on the road and safe as we travel. The fruit of GNM belongs to you who are a part of this ministry. Daily we pray for you that God will keep you healthy, prosperous, and safe in these unstable times.
