September 2012

Dear Friends,

Vic and I just ended another 5,500 mile venture with God through many of our beautiful states, sharing our Lord in word and deed wherever we went. Before I highlight some of the things God has been doing since our last letter, we want to thank you for your faithful support both financially and prayerfully. Vic and I go where the Lord sends us, and He uses YOU to make it possible. We pray blessings over you and an increase in Wisdom, Health and Wealth! Now for a few highlights. . . .

thompson.pngThompson Falls, MT—Panic Attacks Go!

I’ll start with our most recent meetings. This was our second time to preach at Redemption Ranch in Thompson Falls. Pastor Brenda Crowe and her husband Scott bought this bed and breakfast retreat acreage as a ministry several years ago. We held three services. After the first service, 10-year-old Mia asked for prayer because she was having panic attacks. God worked and she was set free. Praise God! God has great things in store for this young one.

flames.pngEsterbrook, WY—Fires! During our stay in Wyoming, fires raged in many areas and smoke was everywhere! Fires claimed a Christian camp and more than 100,000 acres. The fire came within a few miles of the little historic town of Esterbrook and it’s rustic church. The roads opened just a few days before we were to preach there. The people needed to hear a good word and that God is the God of hope and miracles! Together we thanked God that the fire did not touch them, and we prayed for the fire fighters and those who had lost so much.

Wheatland, WY— “I Do!”

Frank and Terry Huffer, advisors for GN, invited us to hold three services at a conference center in Wheatland. It was fun to see God touch people with His wisdom and grace. I was again blessed to see how God is speaking to the children. When I asked if any one wanted prayer, a five-year-old girl came forward and boldly said, “I do!” “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them” (Mark 10:15-16). Serious stuff!

Wheatland Worship Center. At the Sunday morning services, what a time in the Lord we all had! We are all Ambassadors for Christ and need to be equipped by the Holy Spirit for the task! When the altar call came for baptism in the Holy Spirit, an eight-year-old girl led the way and then five other children followed. As I touched each one, they spoke with a new tongue. Several other adults also received a much needed refreshing of the Spirit. We all had a Holy Spirit time!

Drought and destruction are hitting so much of our country and world. This pushes me all the harder to tell everyone everywhere JESUS IS COMING BACK! ARE YOU READY? We must get order in our lives with Jesus preeminent in all things. We must live Colossians 1:18: “And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” Jesus IS Coming Soon, Ready or Not!

“A Woman Is Like A Tea Bag”

I spoke at a ladies’ tea in Wheatland about being strong and believing God for their families. I quoted Eleanor Roosevelt who said, “A woman is like a tea bag; you cannot tell how strong she is until you put her in
HOT WATER!” Rise up ladies! We can make a difference, not only in our families but in our communities and country!
When I was first saved, the Lord had me spending a lot of time in a nursing home in Nevada reading to residents. I am still doing that and I love it. Vic and I visited the residents in Wheatland’s nursing home. During a sing-a-long, the woman sitting with Vic grabbed his hand as we all sang that old “Miss Daisy” song. Her name is Daisy and she and all the others had so much fun.

I am sitting between Edna and Loretta on Family Night. After sharing with Loretta, she asked to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in another tongue. She asked, she believed, and she received! Afterwards, Loretta said, “It is stupendous what the Holy Spirit has done for me! I am now always praying the perfect prayer for here and for myself! It makes me feel so wonderful.” She knows she is a light that shines in the darkness and now she is equipped to keep her light bright!
