Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The last three months have been like a whirlwind but we have managed with the help of the Holy Spirit to stay in the eye of the storm. The devil is attacking everywhere because he knows his time is short! Jesus is coming back soon. The most important thing is for ALL of us to be watchful and ready! Do not get complacent or weary in well doing!

Summer Highlights

In June Vic and I left California for ministry in Wheatland, Wyoming. On our way, we stopped in Wells, Nevada, to minister at Ruby Mountain Assembly with Pastors Dan and Heidi Watson. The Holy Spirit brought refreshing and strength to us all. This church has a big mission field with two houses of prostitution only a few blocks away. God’s power will overcome the darkness and deliver people as they pray!

In Wheatland, I once again spent time visiting in a nursing home. It is such a joy to spend time with these dear people and bring a little sunshine to their life. Makes them feel very special, which they are!

Conference Goes On!

Vic and I have been ministering in Wheatland for 20 years now. As in previous years, we worked with friends to set up a three-day evangelistic conference. Plans were well underway when suddenly Vic and I had to leave to care for a medical emergency back home. Before leaving, we made arrangements for the meetings to continue. A couple helping with the planning, Frank and Terry Huffer from Wheatland, along with Dave Alley from Douglas, ministered at the conference. The Huffers have been advisors and partners of GN for many years.

Terry spoke on a sound mind and not allowing fear to come on you from 2 Timothy 1:7:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Dave shared that whatever you are going through, Jesus is the answer (Hebrews 4:15-16):
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Lives were changed at those meetings and the presence of God was very strong because they were obedient to God’s call! Let us all learn to simply say “yes Lord”!

We pray for you and thank you for partnering with us. We can go to the highways and byways because of YOU! Remember, we all share in the fruit together!  Vic & Judy

Ministry has many faces! Vic fills dirt into new raised vegetable beds he built on the GN home base in Northern, CA.

Blessing our troops

Screen_Shot_2013-09-01_at_7.01.21_PM.pngVic and Judy fill boxes with food, toiletries, Christian literature, and Judy’s books for troops in Afghanistan. They also sent a pack- age to one of the families in the States.

Our troops greatly need prayer as they serve our country in that difficult environment never knowing what a day will bring. Pray too for the wives (or husbands) and family who are con- stantly concerned for their loved one’s safety.

Books Minister to Prisoners

It always blesses us when we get letters from prisoners who find Judy’s books in the prison/ jail library. An inmate who read “Faith, Does It Really Move Mountains?” wrote saying what a blessing it was to him. Another time when Judy was ministering in a church, the greeter told her, “I read your book in prison and it helped me so much!” Who but God!

Faith Nugget

We have a responsibility to walk in the things of God and allow the Word to direct our life. The Psalmist David wrote: “Your word is a lamp to my feet (short-range plans) and a light to my path” (long-range plans) Psalm 119:105. In Psalm 109-110, David wrote: “My life is continually in my hand, yet I do not forget Your law. The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.” Vic says remember who you are and who you represent! Declare this today!

Twenty years ago God called Vic and Judy to start Good News Ministries to minister to the United States of America! I’m sure you will agree that today our country needs prayer and evangelistic witness more than it ever has. Our country is a mess! The fear of God is not in this country. The holiness of God is not in this nation. The purity of God is not in this nation! Each of us need to check our life for the fear of God, the purity of God, and the holiness of God! We are each responsible for our lifestyle!

An evangelistic outreach of GNM is through articles Judy writes for a secular newspaper. She also writes for The Christian Quarterly in Redding, CA. Both of these papers reach thousands with the word of the Lord. Some readers do not know the Lord and some need answers from the Lord. Both groups are touched by the Lord in some way.

Happyland in the Phillppines

happy2013.pngPastor Ellis reports that the preschools are doing well. “We have five now. Happyland also celebrated its 10th church anniversary last Sunday!” Good News is blessed to have a part in the lives of the children by helping to support the preschool and the feeding program which ministers to hundreds of poverty-stricken children.
