Dear Friends,

We pray this letter finds you happy, healthy and living for Christ. We certainly live in stressful times. Circumstances come to all of us which seem so overwhelming. Some of you have called for prayer and we are honored to pray with you. Thanks to cell phones, we can be reached anywhere. Truly, the name of Jesus pierces the darkness and allows light to come.

Back to Wyoming

This summer, Vic and I had the privilege of returning to Vic’s home state of Wyoming. It was wonderful to see our friends again in Wheatland and share in their home fellowship. I taught Thursdays at the home group led by Terry Huffer. They meet in the home of Shawn Hoffman who leads excellent praise and worship.

Wonderful humble leaders and the presence of the Holy Spirit filled the house. The gifts of the Holy Spirit came forth in power and lives are being changed. If you are in Wheatland, you would be welcome to attend the fellowship. Call Terry for directions.

Preaching in the little church in the mountains of Wyoming is always such a joy. It was great to visit this historical church once again. Most people come in vehicles but sometimes they ride their horse and tie the reins to the fence. Along the way, we enjoyed beautiful wild flowers and shared the road with deer, antelope and cows with nursing calves.

I challenged the congregation to know who we are in Christ. To know what we are to be doing as believers, and to know who Jesus is. Knowing who Jesus is, is the greatest question in history and today. How you answer it will determine if you are a VICTOR OR VICTIM now and eternally.

Living on earth is temporary but Heaven is eternal. The greatest words we can hear is that Jesus is coming back for His children. We all need to ponder the question, “Am I sure I am His child?” If yes great, If NO give your heart to Him Now.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. We can GO and touch others with the love of Jesus because of you! We are praying for each of you, and if you need prayer, give me a call (phone number below).

Vic and Judy Baus Good News Ministries

Esterbrook CowIn 1946, Esterbrook Community Church near Douglas, Wyoming, was built with a window behind the altar having a view to Laamie Peak. The church is a favorite setting for weddings. The pastor again asked Judy and Vic to come ans share with the congregation. On their way to the church, they enjoyed waiting for a calf to finish breakfast!

Judy and I are at Judy’s mom’s ranch. I have been doing pruning and a lot of outside work. In the midst of all the cleanup, a fire started (yes, my fault). Judy and I tried to get it out but it took off and quickly traveled toward our neighbor and their expensive solar panel and boats (they repair boats). Many fire trucks and firemen responded to our 911 call. Before they arrived, Judy said get the tractor to help put it out. Twice I tried to start it, but it wouldn’t start. I had just used it the day before; it always started. But not this time.

Praise God, the firemen got the fire out just a few feet from the solar panel and boats! After the smoke cleared I tried the tractor and it started right up... I told Judy later that God protected us because if I had taken that old tractor out in that fire and if it had a gas leak, it would have blown up with me in it! Our Angels were with us and our Lord gave us a miracle that day. Even in our mistakes, God keeps us safe. The Holy Spirit gave me this scripture...

So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety (Leviticus 25:18).

Our Troops

“I am so thankful for your support and prayers,” wrote Jessica after she received the goodies that Good News sent to her and her unit. She holds up Judy’s three books that we pray will bring her encouragement. We seek to bring our soldiers joy while they are in Kuwait. We are so thankful for their service. Remember to pray for all of our troops....

Daily mini-text devotionals bless many...

People write Judy: “Thank you for taking the time to send; it was just what I needed.” “This confirms what God is saying to me.” “Many thanks for the text; they are so uplifting.” If you are not receiving Judy’s morning text devotional, send her a text request at 530-520-1948.

Word of the Lord....

We are all seeking something! Stop and think about what it is you are seeking. Seeking means to follow after; something is guiding us. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Our Lord knows we have needs. Follow after Him first and our desire shall be fulfilled. Why? Because now His desires will become our desires! Dare to Believe!

As long as you have breath...

In Wheatland, I always enjoy visiting the folks in the nursing home. This time it was in a beautiful, roomy brand new home. For many years, Vic’s cousin Joyce has played the piano in a sing-along with the residents. What a joy to gather with them for singing.

I heard a pastor share with these precious people that they still have great purpose in life—to intercede for their families, community, and the world. This brought a spark of joy to the eyes of the 25 or so who heard that they still can be used of God right where they are. I said Amen to that!

This is a word for all seniors in or out of nursing homes. So many feel they have no purpose because they can no longer get around like they used to. This is a lie from the devil because now they have a lot of time for prayer which is the most needed thing in the Kingdom of God.

They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing (Psalm 92:14) and Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you (Isaiah 46:4).
