Greetings in the precious name of Jesus. We want to share a few highlights since our last newsletter.

While we were in the San Jose, CA, area, I was privileged to give another pastor a break and preach at her Spanish church, People’s Temple. Pastor Rosie had been having pain in her hand and legs for 20 years and she badly needed rest. Over the four weeks I preached, God healed her! She can now use her hands WITHOUT PAIN and walk further! Thank you Lord!

We met with our long-time friend Pat (pictured) who had again knitted many hats and scarves for the homeless. Vic and I took not only the hats and scarves but also lunches, bottled water, and the Gospel of John to homeless people in San Jose and several cities in northern California. The gifts were well received since it had been unusually cold.

In San Jose, a man came up to Vic and thanked him for the scarf and hat we had given him last year. “It sure has helped me keep warm,” he said. Vic asked if he wanted a new one but he said, “No thank you. This one is still great.”
Maybe you cannot go and help the homeless, but we urge you to pray for them. We are able to bless others because of your partnership. Thank you!

"And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward." Matthew 10:42

Providing Education and Christ’s Love to Manila’s Poorest

For many years Good News Ministry has been helping an outreach that provides food, education, and Christian teaching to very poor children near Manila, Philippines. The following quote from Pastor Ellis, founder and director of the ministry, shows one reason this ministry is important, besides the impact on the children themselves and their families. Pastor Ellis writes...

“We’ve always believed the next great leaders of the Philippines, or even the world, may be growing up in poverty. In the slums of Manila, the hacienda fields of Negros, the jungles of Mindanao, the seashores of Samar, the forests of Mt. Province... whether that child is within our midst or not, we carry that belief for all the children, for the nation, for the world; so we go!”

On the Road Again...with God!

Synopsis—For over twenty years, I have been traveling full time with my husband. Our only home during this time has been a bus converted into a motorhome. From our home on wheels, we have traveled the highways and byways reaching out to people in the USA and Canada with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have met people from all walks of life, many with overwhelming problems. The place doesn’t seem to matter. Everywhere people are struggling with this thing called life. From birth to death people are asking the questions “Who am I? Why am I here? What’s the purpose of life? What happens to me when I die?” For years I too struggled over these questions.

I’ve helped many people learn how to face their problems with God’s help, and in turn, they have all helped me. This book is a result of some of the insights I have gained and lessons I’ve learned.

Dr. Judy Baus is the author of three books on salvation and faith: "From Rags to Riches" "Faith, Does It Really Move Mountains?" and “On the Road Again with God.” She and her husband Vic, who was born and raised in Wheatland, started Good News Ministries, Inc. in the early 1990's and travel throughout the United States in their conversion motor home as missionary/evangelists.

~Word of the Lord~

2014 means deliverance or release. The last straw that forced the Egyptian pharaoh to release God’s children from 400 years of slavery is called “Passover.” The Lord told each Israelite family to sacrifice a flawless lamb on the 14th day of the first month. ‘They were to put the lamb’s blood on their door post to alert the death angel to pass over their home. The sadness that struck the Egyptians as their firstborn died caused Pharaoh to release the Israelites.

It is because of the blood of Jesus Christ, our flawless sacrificial lamb, that we are delivered from death to life!
