June 2012

Greetings Special Friends!

Time seems to be passing faster and faster which means we are getting closer and closer to the return of the Lord! As I write this letter, Vic and I are headed to Wheatland, WY, where we will be holding revival meetings in June.

I want to give a few highlights and a glimpse into our ministry’s last three months. We had amazing services again this year in Lodi, CA, with women from a rehabilitation home. They all got fully equipped to succeed by receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking with another tongue! With a hunger for Victory, they wrote their boyfriends saying, “No more sleeping together. That is fornication and God is against it.” If only every child of God would take His word with such conviction!

I spoke at two new churches for us—Orland Assembly in California and Reno Assembly in Nevada—ladies meetings and Sunday morning services at both. God touches lives with His power if people want it, and these people did! Glory Temple and Rehoboth Temple, also in Reno, had the fire of the Holy Spirit fall setting their feet to dancing. At Family Life in Chico, CA, the Holy Spirit brought refreshing and power!

Each fellowship was unique and each experienced the Holy Spirit touching lives with salvation, healing, deliverance, encouragement, and hope! God brought awakening, refreshing, and empowering for every person present so they will be equipped to do the work of the ministry and live a rich full life here on this earth!

We are reaching into the highways and byways thanks to ya’ll (Vic says I have been in the South too long!). Your prayers and finances are keeping us on the road. Thank you! Remember, we all share in the fruit for the Lord! We pray for God to keep you in Divine health and prosperity.

Happyland Celebrates 10 Years!

Founder of Happyland, Pastor Ellis, writes, “Definitely with the support of Good News and others, we will be able to provide a glass of milk and lunch for each student throughout the school year! We'll start the school year with our regular Flag Day assembly and hand out 2 kilos of rice to each student.”

Pray for our Soldiers! We recently celebrated Memorial Day where we took time to remember our military personnel who fought for the freedom we enjoy in this country. We prayed too for those serving to- day, and for those preparing to serve.

Joseph, the serviceman Good News sends care packages to, is now home with his wife and children. Thank you Lord. Pray for the other servicemen and women to be able to return home to their families.

A Few Thoughts From Vic

Bottoms Up!

I was driving our bus in a rain storm when we happened to see a truck carrying a boat on top of it. I carry a boat on top of my truck too, which we pull behind the bus. What was dif- ferent is that their boat was right side up and filling with water. We saw these people stopped two different times bailing water out of the boat. If they would have been hauling the boat as they were suppose to with the bot- tom up, the rain would have just fallen off it.

I see this as the storms of life pouring down on us and if we do not have our life in the proper position, we are always having to get bailed out!

Lesson from 94-Year-Old

When Judy and I were almost to Winnsboro, LA, we stayed overnight in Monroe, LA, at the same RV park we’ve stayed in for the past 10 years. I again met a man who is now 94 years old and loves to talk fishing. One year before we left, this man gave me a couple of fishing poles. This year he said, “Lord willing, I’ll see you next year or I will see you in heaven!” Amen to that! Let’s all be speaking those faith words!

Fire on the Water Ministry

I look forward to whatever the Lord has for me when we are in Wyoming. I’ll have my boat and fishing poles ready and trust the Lord to send people to me. Those who want to fish, and who need an encouraging word, or to be pointed in the right direction, to the Greatest Fisherman who ever lived! JESUS CHRIST!
