December 2012

Greetings Special Friends!

This month Christians all over the world will be celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bethlehem event is an unfolding promise to all who believe. It’s a celebration of Christ; let’s reflect on the main reason He came to earth— to save people from their sins.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself... (2Corinthians 5:19)

Christmas brings HOPE to everyone who will believe; it takes away all gloom and sadness. Christians can rejoice in things eternal, even when temporal circumstances are difficult.

Luke reports that Christ’s birth was accompanied by angelic praise (Luke 2:13,14). Let us join the angelic chorus rejoicing in the birth of Christ. Let’s keep Christ at the center of our activities and our giving. Let’s stand up and make Him known in our sphere of the world this Christmas.

Vic and I want to thank you for partnering with us both prayerfully and financially. All year you keep us on the road reaching out to those in the highways and byways with the only HOPE any one has. JESUS! We pray for you to be full of the blessings of God.

Again I say KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS and put Him at the center of all your activities and gift giving! Let us stand up and make a difference this Christmas!

storehouse-winter12.pngJudy relates the following: At an outreach last January, we totally emptied the storehouse. We knew that if God wanted us to do another outreach in 2013, He would bring in the clothing. So the storehouse remained empty until a few Sundays ago. I was preaching in Reno and the members of Glory Temple brought in enough clothing to fill my truck! Then on my return to the GN home base in northern California, I learned that a car load of clothing had arrived while I was in Nevada. The Storehouse is now almost full! Who but God! With the vision comes the provision!

troops-winter12.pngPray for our troops, for their safety and for them to sense God’s presence as they are separated from family this Christmas. Good News sends care packages to one of our soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Pray for our country too!

This Christmas Pastor Ellis and his team in the Philippines will be ministering to about 500 children whose family earns less than $60 a month. Good News will be participating with them in their celebration parties!

A Word and a Warning for 2013
The main tool of the enemy is going to be DECEPTION in a greater way than we have ever experienced. Deception means to be tricked or fooled! Just look at some of the laws being voted in by the citizens of this great country and you’ll see what it means!

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

...For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14

When we hear the Word, we are to do what it says so that we are not fooled by the wrong light!

Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11
