Are we pleasing God?

I am getting calls from people who need understanding about the signs of the times and how to live through all the wickedness going on around us. How do we please God in all the tragedy?

The Bible has all the instructions we need to follow. They will bring us through whatever is coming. Remember, our Lord knows about the unknowns that come our way. Seems like every day a new tragedy happens. Gloom and doom is everywhere, but we must not allow ourselves to fall into the trap of the media. Let’s purpose in our heart to see all this from God’s perspective. It's found in His Word!

Hebrews 11:6 says, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. This is a powerful Scripture. Living in fear is not going to please our Lord. Only faith pleases Him! And our faith comes from believing that our Lord is who He says He is. It says He is the rewarder and we will be the “rewardee” if we diligently seek Him.

Faith is a combination of trust, confidence, assurance, courage, and action! It is an inner conviction that results in action. Diligently seeking Him is to crave, search out. How do we do that? We have to get in His Word, the Bible, and read to know what He has promised us, and to know His values and principles for living this life.

In the midst of all that’s going on today, let’s purpose to fulfill our purpose which is to bring others to eternal LIFE because without eternal LIFE, there is only eternal death! Jesus is life, so walk by faith and not by sight! Our brothers and sisters in Ukraine are telling others this life is temporary; come to eternal life and His name is Jesus! They are living this truth. Let’s do the same! Let’s let the light of Jesus shine through us and dispel all the darkness around us.

Does it matter which Bible version is used? The New International Version is easier to read than the King James Version, but the Amplified Bible gives better descriptions. Thank you!
