Rise in Courage

If we belong to the Lord, we have a manual for success as we go through this journey, and it is the Bible. I say manual for success because we will find no other book that holds the answers for our life!

So many times, we go through life looking for answers because we feel like we are sinking lower and lower. Without Jesus and His Word, we probably are sinking! I have been there and done that and know many of you readers have also. I was not poor and had a great business, but my inside was so void of satisfaction and peace! When I came to the Lord and realized how much He had done for me, I wanted to live eternally with Him. From that marvelous day of believing and putting my life in His hands, my life changed! Life was still hard, but I had a whole book full of instruction to guide me! The only truth is found in that book!

For example, I found Joshua 1:9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. These are wow words! I am commanded as a Christian to have good courage and not be afraid. I now see how we belong to Christ. Remember, our comfort here is temporary, but our faith and trust in God will endure forever. When we face the unknown, it can bring fear, but we must remember that our unknown is not God’s unknown. Our Lord is all-knowing. There is nothing He does not already know. And He is worthy of our trust!

God calls us to forsake our own agenda and follow Him. We need the courage to move past our fears when we face overwhelming issues. We need to allow faith to arise believing that God is good, and He is for our good. God will do the impossible for us and bring forth His promises. So, we must arise and have good courage and cross over to the “promise land” which is His promises.

Does it matter which Bible version is used? The New International Version is easier to read than the King James Version, but the Amplified Bible gives better descriptions. Thank you!

This is the first month in a New Year and I am sure we all made some declaration for this New Year which wholes new beginnings if we will allow them to be. Instead of giving up I always add something to my walk with the Lord and when I do that it seems to take care of what I should give up or change.
