September 2024: I'm Known in Heaven!

And of Zion [mountain of Jerusalem] it will be said, "This one and that one were born in her; And the Most High Himself shall establish her." The LORD will record, when He registers the peoples: "This one was born there." Selah  (Psalm 87:5-7)

Rise Higher

“The Lord will record” means the Lord writes up those who put their trust in Him! Praise the Lord that we who are saved are counted and registered in heaven!

But how can we be sure that our name is recorded in heaven? In John 3:1-3 Nicodemus wondered about this too. Jesus told him a person must be born again which didn’t make sense to Nicodemus. Jesus said you must be born to the earth and born from above! Nicodemus, you are a teacher, and you do not know this?! We are born to the earth which gives us an earthly citizenship. We are born again or from above by accepting Jesus as our risen Lord and Savior. A miracle is when the supernatural invades the natural, so this is the greatest miracle of all!

Sadly, many people go to a church Sunday after Sunday that does not teach the born-again experience. If we are not born again, our name is not registered in heaven. That should be a wake-up call for everyone! We who are born again should want everyone to be born again! Jesus went to the cross for ALL of humanity.

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ . . . (Philippians 3:20)

CHANGING OUR ADDRESS

What an encouragement to know that we have authority and we have certainty that we have a heavenly home. This life is simply our earthly journey! Temporal…. Our Heavenly home is Eternal, forever with the Lord! Heaven is our home. One day, each of us will die if the rapture does not happen first, and when that time comes, all we do is have a change of address….from Earth to Heaven!

The Lord has given us things in this life to use and enjoy. We are to be stewards of them. We shall take nothing with us to our heavenly address, so let’s ask ourselves, are we hoarding what God has given us, or are we sharing with others what the Lord has blessed us with? Are we using them for God’s glory and others’ good? Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. (2 Corinthians 9:6) Let’s make our aim to help others come to faith in Jesus so that their names are also recorded in heaven.

Well, let me start with the most important thing you bring up. I noticed the word I THINK in your question. Just because you go to church does not mean you are a born-again believer.

I know I am supposed to be joyful this time of the year, but I am not! It all seems so plastic and empty to me, even in the church! Feeling Pretty Empty

Have you ever thought about the word “wilderness” and what that means for the Christian and the non-Christian? To be a Christian we must believe—which is to trust and have confidence that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again! Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STAY WATCHFUL! I am sure we can all agree, 2025 started off with much tragedy and woe! Terrorist attacks killing many, devastating fires in the LA area, a horrible plane and helicopter collision, and another plane crash two days later! Many families in mourning. Truly, the devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and sadly, he’s doing a good job at it. But remember, our Lord is far greater than the devil, and He is ultimately in control.

Christianity 101—Life with God after Salvation We are living in very tough times that are only getting harder. As followers of Jesus, we should be strong in the Lord and full of faith, experiencing the God of the impossible. But are we? Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I believe Jesus is looking at us and our fellowships and asking if we truly believe this. Are we living this Scripture out to a watching world?

We are living in some very dark, wild times. Our manual for success (the Bible) tells us to know the seasons in which we live. We must be alert and watchful and know and understand how our success manual tells us to have success.
