Help is on the way!

I am writing this article from California which as most of you know has been hit hard with the virus and fires. I do feel it is time to re evaluate where we stand with the Lord.

So many Christians have been on the fence meaning one foot in the Kingdom of God and the other foot in the kingdom of the world or devil! We live in very serious times and if we call ourself a Christian, we have to make some major changes.

To be a born-again Christian is to be a follower of Christ and Christ alone. We will either be victorious and rise above all the horrible things going on in this land, or sink into them. Christians have a hope which non-believers do not have. I would hate to live in these times with no hope beyond the now. Tomorrow for Christians is greater than today.

We have help from the One who created us and all things! We can stand on the promise found in Psalm 38:22: Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation! Salvation means deliverance, help, safety, victory. So when we are saved, we simply ask for His help. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. (Psalm 35:2) Our Lord is our protector even when we are in overwhelming situations and feel He is not with us. He is right there when faced with fires, virus, and the overwhelming moral decay so prominent in our society! At times we might need to say, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” When we ask we will receive because our help comes from the Lord!

Well, let me start with the most important thing you bring up. I noticed the word I THINK in your question. Just because you go to church does not mean you are a born-again believer.

Have you ever thought about the word “wilderness” and what that means for the Christian and the non-Christian? To be a Christian we must believe—which is to trust and have confidence that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again! Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STAY WATCHFUL! I am sure we can all agree, 2025 started off with much tragedy and woe! Terrorist attacks killing many, devastating fires in the LA area, a horrible plane and helicopter collision, and another plane crash two days later! Many families in mourning. Truly, the devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and sadly, he’s doing a good job at it. But remember, our Lord is far greater than the devil, and He is ultimately in control.

Christianity 101—Life with God after Salvation We are living in very tough times that are only getting harder. As followers of Jesus, we should be strong in the Lord and full of faith, experiencing the God of the impossible. But are we? Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I believe Jesus is looking at us and our fellowships and asking if we truly believe this. Are we living this Scripture out to a watching world?

We are living in some very dark, wild times. Our manual for success (the Bible) tells us to know the seasons in which we live. We must be alert and watchful and know and understand how our success manual tells us to have success.
