Why Lord?

I am writing this from California. Wherever we live, most Christians are facing or watching others facing huge situations.

I had one sister in the Lord say to me, “Judy, I do not understand why all this demonic stuff is happening around me.” My answer was, just because we are followers of Christ does not make us exempt from having to deal with the demonic. Most times we get more attacks, and the Bible tells us we will . The Bible is clear about this: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My (Jesus) purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10 (NLT)

It is our choice how we live our life and face life issues. If I see things coming at me or someone else, it is very easy to see where it is coming from if I just apply the above Scripture. If a situation or issue is full of stealing, killing or destroying, then it is demonic, but if it is in the rich satisfying part, it is from God. The Holy Spirit sure made this easy to understand and apply!

Whether we are saved or not saved, we all live in this world, but the difference is when someone has accepted Jesus as personal Savior and Lord, they have help from above! I lived half of my life without the Lord and wow what a mess that was. With the Lord we have His promises to stand on.

“We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone.” Psalm 33:20-22 (NLT) As we meditate on the different aspects of the Lord, trust will arise no matter what comes our way. He is our hope in the midst of it all. He is holy, just, true, gracious, faithful, and unchanging. He is all wise, almighty, and everywhere present. We can rejoice while relying upon Him.

Jehovah-Jireh will provide; Jehovah-Shalom will send peace; Jehovah-Tsidkenu will justify; Jehovah-Shammah will be forever near; and in Jehovah-Nissi we will conquer every enemy. Mediating on who He is, what He does, and what He has done will cause trust and hope to arise and cause rejoicing to flow out of us, no matter what comes our way!

Well, let me start with the most important thing you bring up. I noticed the word I THINK in your question. Just because you go to church does not mean you are a born-again believer.

I know I am supposed to be joyful this time of the year, but I am not! It all seems so plastic and empty to me, even in the church! Feeling Pretty Empty

Have you ever thought about the word “wilderness” and what that means for the Christian and the non-Christian? To be a Christian we must believe—which is to trust and have confidence that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again! Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STAY WATCHFUL! I am sure we can all agree, 2025 started off with much tragedy and woe! Terrorist attacks killing many, devastating fires in the LA area, a horrible plane and helicopter collision, and another plane crash two days later! Many families in mourning. Truly, the devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and sadly, he’s doing a good job at it. But remember, our Lord is far greater than the devil, and He is ultimately in control.

Christianity 101—Life with God after Salvation We are living in very tough times that are only getting harder. As followers of Jesus, we should be strong in the Lord and full of faith, experiencing the God of the impossible. But are we? Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I believe Jesus is looking at us and our fellowships and asking if we truly believe this. Are we living this Scripture out to a watching world?

We are living in some very dark, wild times. Our manual for success (the Bible) tells us to know the seasons in which we live. We must be alert and watchful and know and understand how our success manual tells us to have success.
