Is the Resurrection a Myth?

Here we are in April and soon will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday, or maybe you already have. It really makes no difference because we should celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ every day. Without the Resurrection, we have no hope.

1 Peter 1:3-4 says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. These are my hope-delivering scriptures that I stand on when the issues of life try to overwhelm me. Everything on this earth will pass away, so if we put our trust in anything here on earth, we are very silly because our hope is in a living God and one who has our inheritance saved for us in Heaven.

Heaven is the home for all those who have made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! We must believe we are sinners and need a Savior to cleanse us from all sin! Jesus paid the price for us on the cross by shedding His Blood for all humanity. Once we have believed (trusted in and relied upon Him), we no longer belong to our self but to Him. We are a part of the family of God. We are just sojourners and pilgrims on this earth with a purpose to see all come to the knowledge of Christ. Believers are no longer poor old sinners, but saints that still sin, but are quick to repent and ask God for forgiveness. We no longer have a lifestyle of sin which is missing the mark.

Every blood-bought child of God needs to adjust their thinking to the Resurrection of Jesus, not to the Easter bunny! Research it…Easter is pagan and Easter bunnies do not lay eggs. Our children should learn who Jesus is and the power of His resurrection, so they too can grow up with the assurance that He is with them and for them. I do not think the word Easter or bunny can do that.

We live in a world gone crazy so as Christians we need to help by praying, reading the word, and delivering the words of truth found only in the Bible. We need to do some straightening out based on truth from the Bible, not myths or magic which is not of God.

Well, let me start with the most important thing you bring up. I noticed the word I THINK in your question. Just because you go to church does not mean you are a born-again believer.

I know I am supposed to be joyful this time of the year, but I am not! It all seems so plastic and empty to me, even in the church! Feeling Pretty Empty

Have you ever thought about the word “wilderness” and what that means for the Christian and the non-Christian? To be a Christian we must believe—which is to trust and have confidence that Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again! Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

STAY WATCHFUL! I am sure we can all agree, 2025 started off with much tragedy and woe! Terrorist attacks killing many, devastating fires in the LA area, a horrible plane and helicopter collision, and another plane crash two days later! Many families in mourning. Truly, the devil is out to steal, kill, and destroy, and sadly, he’s doing a good job at it. But remember, our Lord is far greater than the devil, and He is ultimately in control.

Christianity 101—Life with God after Salvation We are living in very tough times that are only getting harder. As followers of Jesus, we should be strong in the Lord and full of faith, experiencing the God of the impossible. But are we? Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I believe Jesus is looking at us and our fellowships and asking if we truly believe this. Are we living this Scripture out to a watching world?

We are living in some very dark, wild times. Our manual for success (the Bible) tells us to know the seasons in which we live. We must be alert and watchful and know and understand how our success manual tells us to have success.
