Our Heavenly Father will not deliver us from all our situations, but He will always comfort us in and through them. Peace comes when we understand and are secure in that fact.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6
The key to these above statements is to believe them. Many people say they believe that Jesus is with them all the time, but live as if He does not exist! Fear is not of God. We cannot be in fear and faith at the same time. It is a choice to allow the things of this world to engulf us, or live our life confidently know that Jesus is right by our side through it all! Only He can comfort us in overwhelming situations. I say to many, TURN OFF THE NEWS! It only tells of the negative (no shortages there!), but our Lord tells us of the positive. He is the one who brings comfort, and He is the only one who CAN bring us comfort.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ." 2 Corinthians 1:3¬5
